The 2015–16 All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship was the 46th annual gaelic football tournament since its establishment in 1970. The 2014–15 champions were Corofin from Galway who defeated Slaughtneil Robert Emmets from Derry on 17 March 2015 to win their 2nd title, however they were knocked out by Castlebar Mitchels of Mayo. ==Format== County Championships All Ireland's 32 counties play their county championship between their senior Gaelic football clubs. Each county sets the rules for deciding who are their county champions. The competition can be knockout, double-elimination, league, etc or a combination. For instance, Kerry organise two separate championships. Provincial Championships Connacht, Leinster, Munster and Ulster organise four provincial championships for their participating county champions. All matches are knock-out. All-Ireland The winners of the London club championship play one of the four provincial champions in a single match in mid-December referred to as a "quarter-final". Two semi-finals are then played in mid-February. The All-Ireland Final is traditionally played in Croke Park on St. Patrick's Day, the 17th of March.
